Most workplace wellbeing initiatives are missing the men who need them most!
1 in 5 men die prematurely from preventable causes. Suicide remains the leading cause of death in men under 50. Yet many workplace wellbeing strategies still fail to engage men in a way that actually works.
This is how we change that - introducing the Million for Men's Health Challenge. A simple, inclusive team-based activity challenge designed to get your workforce moving, connecting, and engaging in their health - without the usual barriers.
From 11 June to 19 July, teams of five colleagues represent a nation and log their minutes of movement during Men's Health Week and the FIFA World Cup. Walk, run, swim or train – every active minute counts. Teams are open to everyone – men and women are very welcome.
🏆 Prize for the highest scoring team, prize draw for teams reaching 5,000 minutes and individual prizes up for grabs.
🎫 £30 per team (25% charity discount). Free for existing members.
Because traditional wellbeing doesn’t land with everyone. Evidence shows men are more likely to engage with initiatives which have a clear goal, are action-focused with peer interaction.

What is a workplace wellbeing challenge?
A workplace wellbeing challenge is a simple way to encourage employees to be more active, improve wellbeing and build stronger team connections.
Who can take part?
The challenge is open to all colleagues, regardless of fitness level. Men and women are equally welcome.
Do employees need to be runners or cyclists?
Not at all - all activity counts, including walking, gym sessions and everyday movement. Typically at least 50% of activities are walking.
Do staff need wearables or fitness trackers?
Staff can track activity using the excellent Strava mobile phone app, or add activity details directly into Active Teams.
How do organisations join the challenge?
Organisations can register their interest using the form on this page. We’ll help you get set up quickly, including team creation, onboarding and communications.
At Active Teams, we design fun, virtual activity challenges that motivate employees to meet the NHS and WHO physical activity guidelines, energise teams, and boost workplace wellbeing.
